20 Oct 2013. MA graduation – with distinction
Just graduated with an MA Photography degree with distinction from Brighton University. Comments on my final project Insecta:
''An ambitious and very confident project exquisitely handled throughout, culminating in an exceptionally beautiful book. I'd really love to own this!''
(Mark Power, Magnum photographer and lecturer)
''Highly focused, sophisticated and visually seductive work. The attention to technical detail, design, display and resolution is extraordinary.''
(Fergus Heron, photographer and lecturer)
''The book that you have produced is really beautiful and complex and thoughtful.''
(Joanna Lowry, MA Photography Course Leader, Brighton University)

20–27 Sep 2013. MA Degree Exhibition: /world
I will be exhibiting my latest project Insecta for my master’s degree show.
The Faculty of Arts Gallery
University of Brighton
68 Grand Parade
Brighton BN2 0JY
All are welcome to the private view: Friday 20 September from 6 pm.
/world
The project looks at the human need to collect and catalogue, and our fascination with the natural world. I couldn’t have done it without The Booth Museum of Natural History allowing me to root around its collections.
See the exhibition website for more information: /world.

1 May 2012. Prints at EatonNott, Brighton
Large A1 prints (70 × 100 cm frames) from my Tempus Fugit series are available from the Brighton-based interior design boutique/studio EatonNott.
EatonNott caters for those who seek the unusual, desirable and bizarre. A collaboration between two artists – Jess Eaton and Jon Nott – EatonNott sources and creates a range of marvels for the stylist or interior designer looking to really enchant their client.
(Note added in 2015: EatonNott have sadly ceased trading.)

2 Jun 2011. Master’s degree in photography
I’ve just received an unconditional offer of a place on the University of Brighton’s highly regarded MA Photography degree course. I'm well chuffed as they have about 60–80 applicants but only a dozen or so places, and my first degree is in chemistry, not art! One of my tutor’s will be Magnum photographer Mark Power.

4–17 May 2011. Exhibition: The Fringe Show N.S.A.P.
As part of the Brighton Festival Fringe 2011 I am in a group exhibition at AM Gallery Brighton, 4–17 May.
''This contemporary photography exhibition of international artists consists of four different shows: narrative (N), still life (S), abstract (A) and portrait (P). Aiming to enhance the interaction between the public and photographic medium, this exhibition provides a rare opportunity to see the creative works of talented artists from all over the world.''
